Stop Wasting Your Time!

Small business owners are inundated with various tasks such as maintaining contact lists and social media marketing which all aid in business success but take time away from actually working their business. While you may be capable of handling the administrative tasks of your business, eventually you need to ask yourself “is completing these tasks the most productive and lucrative use of my time?” Once you do, the answer will be an emphatic, “no!”

Now what? Recognizing you need support is the first step in recovering wasted time. Below are three things you should do immediately to reclaim your time.

Make a list. Start listing the various tasks and responsibilities that need to be completed in order for your business to run smoothly. Next to each item determine if this is something that generates revenue for your business like meeting with potential clients or is a task that simply supports the business like creating a customer intake form.

Outsource support tasks. Now that you have your list, hire some support! Find an individual or business with the expertise and skills to complete the identified tasks on your list.

Redistribute time and focus. With a clearer schedule, you now have more time to focus on the vision of your business and the tasks that determine your bottom line.

With these tips you will be able to streamline your workload and focus on growing your business.
